The first technical preview for Halo Infinite will be mainly focused on bots.

The initial step towards opening beta is the Halo Infinite technical preview. 343 Industries will conduct a series of previews and tests to ensure the game launches on time. While the developers are grateful for any suggestions, the primary reason for the tests is to “test and test the technical aspects” of Halo Infinite.

The Halo Waypoint blog described the team`s overall plan to fly and also to run betas. It also stated that the team would concentrate on testing technical aspects and bots.

The specific focus areas for the technical test are:

  1. Arena game play vs. Bots
  2. Arena Maps
  3. Academy Weapon Drills
  4. Menu & Battle Pass UI
  5. New Waypoint experiences for web,iOS,and Android

-

The areas to be tested will be via the Bot Arena,a playlist where four players are pitted against four bots Arena maps,Bazaar,Recharge and Live Fire. The technical test will be simple enough for players to get familiar with the game and the bots. However,it will become more difficult as time passes.

Halo Infinite includes a Weapon Drills feature that helps you get up-to-speed and familiar with certain weapons. You can also test itout in the technical testing. You`ll be able to get your hands on the MA40 ARand MK50 Sidekick,CQS48 Bulldog, the Needlerand eight additional weapon types during this time. The devs kept things competitive by sharing their Weapon Drills ` high scores internally and are now asking fans to join in the fun.

In the blog were the battle pass feature, challenges and customization systems. The test will determine how intuitive the UI is,and if players can effortlessly navigate specific areas. Invited accounts will receive a limited amount of credits to try out the battle pass system. However, only unlockable items will be transferred to the final game.

Joseph Staten,Head of Creative for Halo Infinite gave us a sneak peek at the bots` behavior. “ODST and Spartan Bots will effectively dodge missiles and grenades (Recruits and Marines don`t),” they said. “All Bots use equipment, and more advanced Bots will use Grappleshots to finish you with a melee killing (I`ve witnessed them do this with Energy Swords, which is incredible and frightening). Bots monitor power weapon spawns, and run fast to grab the weapon. The most important thing to note is that Bots are fair; we don`t alter their health and damage levels based on difficulty; they just get smarter and more resourceful the higher you get.”
